[news] Eskimo Guardsmen Awarded-an Eskimo National Guardsman from the Village of Alakanuk Was Awarded the Brigadier General John JR. Noyes Medal Recently after Having Been Chosen the Outstanding Enlisted Man in the 2nd Scout Battalion. The Guardsman, PFC Xavier Joseph is a Member of Company C Headquartered in Kwlguk. He Was Chosen on the Basis of Professional Knowledge, Superior Leadership, Exemplary Conduct, and Appearance. Major Joseph N. Pike, Commander of the 2nd Scout Battallion, Presented the Award at a Special Battalion Formation Held for the Occasion at Camp Denali.
