[news] VANguard Industries, a Joint Venture of VECO, Inc. of Anchorage of NANA Development Corporation, Kuukpik Corporation and Kaktovik Inupiat Corporation, Has Completed the Second Oil Drilling Rig to be Built in Alaska by an Alaskan Company and is Moving it to the North Slope. (VANguard Completed Alaska's First Oil-Drilling Rig in August.) The Photo Above Shows Workmen Lowering a Portion of the VANguard Rig Unto a Truck Bound for Prudhoe Bay. The Photo Was Taken at VECO's Anchorage Construction Yard.
