[news] The Tug Eagle Crosses Knik Arm on Its Maiden Voyage into Anchorage March 20. The Tug is Reported by Its Owners Pacific Western Lines, a Subsidiary of Sealaska Corp., to be the Largest Ever to Visit Anchorage. The Eagles's Twin 12-Cylinder Diesels Generate 5,000 Horsepower Allowing the Tug to Haul Bulky, Heavier Loads than Those Normally on the Route between Anchorage and Seattle. Pacific Western Says the Tug Will Make Regularly Scheduled Voyages between the Two Cities over the Summer and Early Fall.
