[news] Doreen E. Brown Was Chosen 2nd Runner-up in the Recent National Miss Indian USA Pageant 1985, Held in Washington D.C., November 19th Thru the 24th. Doreen is the 20-Year-Old Daughter of Sam and Lucy Brown, of Anchorage, and the Proud Granddaughter of George T. Hoffman Sr., of Aniak. She is a 1983 Graduate of Robert Service High School, in Anchorage. Miss Brown is the Reigning Miss C.I.N.A for 1985. At the Present Time She Works as an Indian Education Tutor/Counselor, for the Anchorage School District. In the Miss Indian USA Contest, Miss Brown Was Selected from a Final Field of 18 Native American Young Ladies. She is Distinguished by Being the First Alaskan Representative to Compete in This Pageant.
