[news] William Tyson of Anchorage, Who is Originally from King Island,Was among Speakers at the Cross Cultural Communications Workshop Thursday in Anchorage. the Workshop Was Sponsored by the Association for Stranded Rural Alaskans in Anchorage, in an Effort to Overcome Difficulties Human Service Providers Often Face in Dealing with Alaska Natives. Tyson Discussed His Background and Talked About His Native Traditions. He Also Told a Number of Stories That Have Been Handed down among His People for Generations. Hr Jokingly Explained That Life Has Gotten Much More Complicated in Recent Years and Said When He Got Married All a Man Needed Was Three Dogs,a Dog Sled, A. 22 Caliber Rifle and a Shotgun. the Workshop Was Attended by About 60 People. the next Cross-Cultural Workshop Will be Aug. 3 in Anchorage.
