Caldwell in Ceremonies Observing Veterans' Day in the Far North City Last Weekend. COL Caldwell, Who Was Lost in an Aircraft Accident on Mt. Sanford Last Winter, Had Lived in Anchorage since 1968. prior to That Time, He Had Served with the Nome Based 1st Scout Battalion for More than 12 Years, Commanding the Unit from 1965 until 1968. on Hand for the Dedication Were Mrs. Caldwell and Son, Eugene, Now Living in Enumclaw, Washington.
