[news lead] Determination Pays off for Beverly Spudd, Right, off the Lower Yukon Kuskokwim Team as She Wins Her Bout of the Head-Pull Event at the Native Youth Olympics in Anchorage Recently. the Lower Yukon Kuskokwim School District Won the Overall Team Championship. the Olympics Feature Traditional Native Athletic Skills and Include Such Events as the Stick Pull, Head Pull, High Kick, Knee Jump, One-Arm-Reach, Scissors-Broad-Jump, One-Fot High Jump and Seal Hop. the Finals Were Held at the University of Alaska-Anchorage Sports Center.
